“Looking at” because there were 40 knot winds being funneled down the fjord and the seas were too choppy to tender, so we stayed at the tendering point for about an hour hoping for things to calm down but no go. Ah well, another small town missed, but for perfectly reasonable reasons.
Neesh tried getting me up at 7 AM for the views on the way in, but no go there. This worked out because the captain decided to sail back to the west for the scenery before turning east to Norway. So we sucked in the sights as much as possible. Although I was told it was sunny at 7 AM. Oops. The captain reported that the seas are generally much calmer in Norway, we’ll see.
More big swells today, and it’s fun to sit in the Crow’s Nest and watch the ship pitch and yaw, with the occasional list. Fun ride.
View from the balcony – day 10. What I woke up to.
